A conventional legger finishes one leg at a time, which means every pair of trousers is dressed twice. The centre leaf holds the first leg while the operator dresses the second, and both are pressed in one lay.
Forenta rate the gain at up to fifty percent more production without giving up finish quality. Treat that as the ceiling rather than the average, but the direction is right and the crease quality is the reason the design exists at all.
The centre leaf is shaped to keep steam and vacuum moving through both legs rather than blocking the lower one. A K-602 centre leaf kit is available to convert other C-series leggers.
