Tensioning pulls the garment taut through the cycle so it finishes flat and to shape rather than merely hot. That is the difference between a garment that looks finished and one that looks dried.
It also runs without tensioning for non-stretchable fabrics, which matters: tension a garment that will not take it and you have a return, not a finish.
The form raises an additional thirty inches for longer garments, shoulder expanders adjust, and front and rear clamps handle both tensioning and non-tensioning work. Vent clamps close manually and release automatically at end of cycle.
