One tunnel does the work of several press stations. In a plant where floor space is the binding constraint rather than capital, that trade is usually the whole business case.
The narrow body finishes garments shoulder-to-shoulder and is built for dry-to-dry work. It will run damp-to-dry, but at reduced production speed — if damp-to-dry is your normal process rather than your exception, look at the wide body instead.
An autoloader lets the operator place several garments on a powered storage rod; the machine loads each one onto a conveyor hook, finishes it and unloads it to the exit rail. The station runs unattended between loads, which is where the labour saving actually comes from.
Narrow entrance and exit openings, full insulation, continuous internal air circulation and automatic steam on and off mean far less heat escaping into the workplace than an open finishing station. An advanced exhaust system is optional. Four narrow body models are available — sizing is done against your garment mix and hourly count.
